Balfur (Balfour)

The Hebrew name "Balfur" is derived of the family name of Arthur James Balfour.
Arthur James Balfour (1848-1930) was a British statesman and the Prime Minister from 1902 to 1905. On November 2nd, 1917 he signed the "Balfour Declaration", according to which the British government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.
