Levi
לֵוִי
According to the Biblical explanation, the name Levi is related to the verb "להילוות" (lehilavot, "accompany").
Levi was the third son of Jacob and Leah; the tribe of Levi is called after him. The Levites did not receive a land of their own. Instead, they served as priests in the Temple.
"And she conceived again and bare a son, and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons, therefore was his name called Levi." Genesis 29, 34
