מְנַשֶּׁה
Boy
According to the explanation in the Bible, the name מנשה (Manasseh) is derived of the verb לְנַשּׁוֹת (lenashot, "cause to forget").
There are several people called Manasseh in the Bible. One of them is Joseph's elder son; the tribe of Manasseh is called after his name. Another is the king of Judah, Manasseh son of Hezekiah.
"And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh, For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil and all my father's house." Genesis 41, 51
