I love learning languages but being a full time teacher trying to establish an English workshop in Mexico and at the same time raising a teenage girl as a single mom, I simply have very little time. For quite some time, I had been aware of the growing trend towards virtual learning but did not consider this possibility because of my tecnophobia. Yes, it is quite a difficulty in this modern age :)
Recently, I have become deeply interested in the history and culture of the Jewish people after doing research into my own family who immigrated from Spain. Learning Hebrew in the area I live is out of the question, as there are few institutions given to teach language. So I took the plunge with eTeacher. I am just a few weeks into the course but I can say that thanks to a very patient teacher and technical personel who have contacted me constantly, both by email and telephone, and assisted me every step of the way, I really look forward to my classes, and have learned quite a bit, both in the written language and in conversation.
I am now planning my vacations for December 2012 in Israel and think by then I should be pretty fluent if I keep going at this rate. Of course, I would like to meet my very patient professors ang give them a hug and thank them. For now, the best I can do is to say to anyone thinking about joining, don't think twice, just do it!!!! You won't regret it.
