Anat Meir
A Few Words About Me
Anat began her teaching career in 1971 at the ulpan of the kibbutz on which she was born and raised. Anat has taught students of many nationalities and all educational levels, from complete novices till college level. Anat’s work with Ethiopian immigrants was especially challenging and gratifying, as many of her adult students were unable to read and write in their native language. She is proud that she was able to see adults hold a pencil for the first time in their lives, help them take their first steps to literacy and eventually hear them read their own stories, written in their own words and by their own hands. Anat looks on each student as a unique being with specific needs and sees language as a bridge between people. She is eager to share her love for Israel and its history.
