A Few Words About Me
I was born and raised in Haifa. I am deeply connected to the Israeli way of life and have a wide variety of interests. After my army service I studied theatre, after which I acted and worked as a drama instructor for children and teenagers. In 1990, after the wave of immigration from the former Soviet Union I started to work as a Hebrew teacher for adults in Arad. I then completed my studies in teaching Hebrew as a foreign language for adults at Kay education college in Be’er Sheva. I am a qualified, senior teacher of Hebrew and have extensive professional experience. Throughout, I have taken many courses on teaching and teaching Hebrew as a foreign language and have worked with diverse peoples in different levels of language acquisition.
My students testify that I am patient and kind, creative, interesting, and a structured and clear teacher.
My credo is that learning something new – especially a language - should be, first and foremost, intriguing and enjoyable. I believe that language is primarily a method of communication between people; it is a gateway into the culture and experience of a people and its nation in all its diversity: its leaders, historical and geographical sites, authors and poets, musicians, cuisine and so forth.
In addition to the enjoyment and interest that come with language acquisition, it also requires the willingness to devote time and patience to the little details – on the part of both teacher and student.
If you follow me step by step you will know hebrew.
