A Few Words About Me

Nehama Hashiloni is an exceptionally experienced Teacher of Hebrew as a Second Language. She taught H.S. and University students in Latvia and Estonia, and did community outreach to encourage Aliyah. She also taught Hebrew and Jewish Education in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Hashiloni served as Principal of the ORT High School in Kfar Saba, Israel in the 1990's. She teaches Hebrew as an Adjunct Professor at Tel Aviv University, preparing foreign students for a semester in Israel. Ms. Hashiloni earned a Masters Degree in Jewish Education at Toro College, Jerusalem. Her hobbies include travel, antiques, and flower arranging.

Professional Experience

1999-2004
Educational emissary to the Baltic countries, on behalf of the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Jewish Agency. The position included being an assistant school principle in Jewish schools in Estonia, teaching Hebrew, overseeing the Jewish-Israeli identity in school, training teachers in the Jewish subjects, organizing Jewish holiday events and special days at school and developing ties with the Jewish communities and its institutions.
