Sigal Mendelson
A Few Words About Me
My name is Sigal Mendelson married with two kids. We live in Zichron Yaakov, A beautiful small town between Haifa to Hadera. About 3 years ago we returned to Israel after 10 years in Pennsylvania. I am very happy to be in my loved homeland, close to my family and people.
During my years in the States I live among the American Jewish community, and appreciate the opportunity I had to experience Jewish life outside of Israel.
Education
Bachelor degree in Social Sciences at Ramat-Gan College, Israel.
Masters degree in Jewish Liberal Studies at Gratz College, Pennsylvania.
Naturally, I to PhD. studies in a special program focused on American Jews studies at Temple University, which I have not completed, yet.
Professional Experience
I taught Hebrew language and bible in Jewish day schools, Hebrew Sunday schools and Ulpan at all levels and age groups. I enjoyed teaching Jewish American adults. People typically seemed eager to learn Hebrew and it was evident how much Israel and the Hebrew language mean to them. Since I returned to Israel I have been teaching prisoners Citizenship, literature and communications.
