Pronunciation Question
Dear Ms.Cohen-Regev,
Thank you for your free lessons on the internet. I am learning Hebrew on my own and know my alephbet and have mastered the pointing vowels but lack confidence because of the English words that are supposed to make the correct sounds but I find that they do not. When I sound out the words in Hebrew they pretty much sound like the guy that does the " taste of Hebrew " on youtube. When I study alone though it bothers me that my Hebrew phonics doesn't sound much like the word they put there as the english sound, for example the word Son they put as Ben but when I do it phonetically from Hebrew it sounds more like. BeH-N. I wish the english simulation were not there as it confuses and frustrates me. Can I ignore it and just go with the Hebrew Phonics version.
