My Grandmother Anna was a child shoah survivor from Hungary. Her parents were murdered and she was taken from her home at a very young age, so did not have the benefit of a Jewish education or the ability to speak Hebrew. As a result, my mother and I were not raised with knowledge of our own language and scarce exposure to Jewish tradition.
It is a sad state of affairs to be raised without ones native culture, and leaves you constantly asking "who am I?" Learning Hebrew online with e-Teacher has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has allowed me to reconnect with my Jewish heritage in ways I had not thought possible. I am confident that by the time I finish my course of study I will be able to communicate much better with my friends in Israel, and feel more at home when the time comes for making Aliyah with my family.
This has been a very good class, a very good learning experience and if I have the opportunity to visit Israel , my wife and I would like to meet Adina (Our Hebrew teacher). Lehitra'ot
