I have always known I had a Jewish descent(my great-grand-father was from Hungaria and emigrated to Brazil where he got married to a catholic and thus leaving judaism)and also had an uncle who was a Greek-American-Jew who married my mother's sister.Because of my uncle I used to go to the weddings at the syngogue together with my cousins and found interesting when the Rabbi was reading the Torah in Hebrew but didn't care to even know what he was reading!

Many, many years passed by and my life took a dramatic turn when I met the G'D of Abraham, Isaak and Jakob and found out that my Messiah was a Jew... Yeshua!!! He was born from a jewish mother, he lived like a jew and the read and taught the Torah on the Shabbat!!

So I fell in love with the Torah and the more I read it the more I loved it... my Hebrew blood started to boil in my veins and I wanted to read in Hebrew, wanted to go to Israel wanted to go back and reconnect with my people, my land and my language! I could not resist this call and started to look for a way to learn Hebrew. I studied for one year with a Pastor who was teaching Biblical Hebrew and that gave me a start but I wanted more... till a friend of mine told me about eTeacherHebrew and I got in touch with them and in the same day I made up my mind and started the course. The person who called me, was absolutelly nice and cooperative and so I started the classes but was terrified about having to study online as I am 65 years old and the computer was at that time still an adventure for me.

From the first class with Adina Mor Haim I felt so comfortable and at home that it was as if Adina and I were friends from long time... She is a great person and a great teacher! In level A-2 I studied with Nurit Aviv who is also a great teacher but in level B I had Adina as a teacher again. Sometimes I get very anxious as I REALLY want to speak Hebrew and I am never quite satisfied with myself but Adina has always found a way to cheer me up and so I am going to level B-2 with a good knowledge of Hebrew and will very soon start with Biblical Hebrew as I also want to learn it.

Last year I was in Israel and loved it! I was happy to see how much I could read and understand Hebrew and had the pleasure of meeting Adina personally. I am going again this year and I am sure I will be able to make myself understood and will understand even more. Now I can really say I am going back to my roots!!! Thanks for Hebrewonline and thanks to my good teachers Adina and Nurit. I also found out that besides being a great way to learn from your home you also make a lot of friends from all over the world. Hebrewonline is always available to you whenever you need and they have good tools to help you learn more and more . I am very happy that I was introduced to eTeacherHebrew!!!
